| The localization of non-magnetic drill collars has become an urgent problem in theproduction of oil drilling with the development of China’s oil industry. In addition to nomagnetic, non-magnetic drill collar must have high strength, toughness and corrosionresistance. Shot peening technology can improve the fatigue strength of the stressconcentration effectively, then improve the reliability and service life of components.According to non-magnetic drill collar’s production requirement, in this paper, the innerhole strengthening equipment by shot peening was developed, which is used to strengthen thesurface of non-magnetic drill collar’s hole. This device is suitable for processing multi-speciesand large quantities of the drill collar’s series products, is easy to learn and effectively reducethe production costs and improve the market competitiveness of enterprises. This paperdescribed the function principle and structure of the inner hole strengthening equipment byshot peening, and created its three-dimensional model by use of CAD software.Peening pipe was analyzed by using of ANSYS, then proposed the optimization scheme. Andits nozzle’s structure was optimized based on the processing characteristics.In order to obtain the best effect of shot peening, the shot peening process parametersmust be chosen reasonably. At present, the main method of obtaining reasonable shot peeningprocess parameters is test, not only test cycle is long, but also the cost of research is increased.On the basis of realistic condition, this paper achieved the numerical simulation of its shotpeening process parameters and studied the influence factors.This paper established the finite element model of shot peening by using ofANSYS/LS-DYNA, achieved the shot peening process of numerical simulation, analyzedthe the various process parameters of shot peening and residual stress of the material surfaceafter shot peening, mapped the residual stress’ distribution curve with the change of deep layer. The analysis results showed the different level influence that the shot peening coverage,projectile’s speed, projectile’s type and its diameter size to the residual stress field. Combinedwith actual, the studied results in this paper can provide the selected foundation of choosingreasonable shot peening process parameters in the future test, it effectively cut down the studyperiod and reduced the research cost of the equipment. |
