With the increasingly fierce market competition, the response speed of the market is often the key to victory in the competition. In the petrochemical construction industry, Modeling and simulation throughout the lifting processing are need before the lifting of large-scale petrochemical equipment. So staff need create three-dimensional model of petrochemical equipment. However, the entire building process often spend a lot of time, And the established three-dimensional model is difficult to reuse. As a result, the rapid establishment of three-dimensional model of petrochemical equipment will be able to improve the efficiency of modeling and reduce the workload of revision, and it has obvious engineering significance for the petrochemical construction industry, and it also has reference value for the related research.Under the AutoCAD platform, MFC and ObjectARX are used in this paper to realize the development of the parametric modeling system of the petrochemical equipment. By editing three-dimensional model parameters in the system can generate its model, thus realizes the rapid modeling of petrochemical equipment. The main contents in this thesis are as follows:(1) After its character was extracted, the classification of its components was studied. And its parametric model and restraint relations between the parameter have been built. Thus the transition of the solid model to the parametric model has been achieved.(2) In order to achieve the parametric assembly, assembly characteristics of petrochemical equipment’s components are studied and the simple assembly parameters are specified.(3) This paper has investigated the method of three-dimensional model generates engineering drawing and analyzed the characters of engineering drawing in petrochemical construction industry. And at last three-dimensional model could automatically generate engineering drawing in the system.(4) In order to achieve the external visual preservation of the information in system, the information’s preservation and read are studied. And when the information is inputted it could generate the three-dimensional model.The parametric modeling approach avoids the complexity of the manual modeling and modification process, makes full use of the computer technology, greatly reduces the time to create three-dimensional model of the petrochemical equipment and improves the efficiency.
