In the world today, low carbon and environmental protection has become the mainstream of economic development. How to realize energy saving and efficient is a hot topic for the researchers in the forming process. Semi-solid forming technology is one of the most development prospect forming technologies in the21st century, Which has near net shape forming, low forming temperature, long mould life, compaction, high mechanical property low energy consumption, environmental protection, etc. In this paper, AlSi9Cu3semi-solid slurry was prepared by cooling slope, Pouring temperature, cooling slope length, and sloop angle are studied to find the rules of how they affect the microstructure of AlSi9Cu3semi-solid slurry. And a new method for preparation semi-solid slurry was proposed which combined electromagnetic stirring and cooling slope, and was used to study how the electromagnetic parameter affect the microstructure of AlSi9Cu3semi-solid slurry. By using orthogonal test method the technological parameters were optimized.The experiment results show that:pouring temperature, cooling slope length and cooling slope angle affects grain size and morphology of semi-solid slurry by impacting the heat change and shearing force between melt alloy and cooling slope. As long as pouring temperature, cooling slope length and cooling slope angle can be in a suitable range, a good semi-solid slurry is obtained. In this experiment, pouring temperature650℃, cooling slope length700mm and cooling slope angle35°are the optimum parameters. For electromagnetic stirring-cooling slope method, how the magnitude of electromagnetic force and the position of electromagnetic affect the microstructure of AlSi9Cu3semi-solid slurry was studied. A orthogonal test on EMS-CS process for preparing semisolid slurry was carried on.Finally, by using the chilling action of cooling slope and the high viscosity of semi-solid slurry, CuPb10alloy semi-solid slurry was tried to fribricate by using cooling slope method, and finally a good semi-solid slurry was got, and a uniformity CuPb10alloy was obtained. The effects of pouring temperature, cooling slope length and cooling slope angle on the microstructure of CuPb10alloys have been investigated, an optimal technological parameter has been developed.
