This thesis is concerced with numerical simulation analysis of ceramic pasteextruding process in the screw runner belonging to the twin screw extruder.The mathmodels of the screw were established based on twin-screw geometry. In order to establishthe geometric model of the screw belonging to the twin screw extruder for ceramicpaste,we use Pro/Engineer software.To determine the condition of boundary, we assumethat “the screw rotation,the barrel wall static”. And a condition of boundary with non-slipis supposed for the velocity boundary. ANSYS,the software was adopted for numericalsimulation about the velocity flied,pressure filed, viscosity field of ceramic paste in thescrew runner belonging to twin screw extruder.It indicates that motion mechanism ofceramic paste extruding process in the screw runner belonging to intermeshingcounter-rotating twin screw extruder.A measure,in connection with flow,circulatory flow,shear rate and shear stress,wasadopted in this thesis.The forms of figure and table were adopted for sort out thecomputational results in this thesis. Analytical parameters including clearance betweenbarrel wall and screw surface, screw rotate speed, press difference between inflowsection and outflow section and non-dimensional depth of screw groove,etc,werecarefully analyzed. The effect on the extrusion characteristics such as flow,circulatoryflow,shear rate and shear stress,etc, caused by the parameters mentioned above wasanalyzed.The relationship between the extrusion characteristics of ceramic paste andanslytical parameters was expressed very clearly.
