Scraper conveyor is a main transportation equipment in coal-mine production. Its life affects the benefit of the coal-mine production. The linepan of scraper conveyor not only is a essential component, but also is the main failure part in coal-mine production. It’s main failure forms are ftigue failure and wear failure. The article has done fatigue life analysis of the linepan by using Ansys/Fe-safe " a fatigue analysis software and " Ansys " a finite element software.The article made a simple introduction about the general situation and the development trend of the linepan. And expounded on the basic theory and principle of the fatigue life estimation, among which local stress-strain approach accords with the working condition of scraper conveyor.On the basis of motion analysis, the paper did force analysis under Lajia " and " Tuiliu " working condition. To obtain six position of the linepan when it in " Lajia " or " Tuiliu " through the motion analysis. Then doing failure analysis of the linepan to get the main fatigue failure form which is fracture, and the positions of the fatigue fracture are bump heads and passes ear. The article analyzed the forces of the linepan under every angles, and calculated every force. Then, the article did statics analysis for the linepan, which is an important step to fatigue life analysis and decides the accuracy of fatigue life analysis. Based upon the size of the linepan, the geometric model was set up in " UG ". Meshing the geometric model for a finite element model in " Ansys ". Then did statics analysis to get the stress results of the linepan and the weld joint under every angles. The aim is to be sure how different about their stress. The results showed that the stress of the linepan is advanced with the growth of the deflection angle of the linepan, and the location of the maximum stress is also different; The stress of the weld joint is influenced by the operation direction of coal winning machine with the growth of the deflection angle of the linepan. Then did strength analysis for the linepan. The stress of the weld joint is far less than the stress of linepan. So the weld joint has a little effect on the strength of the linepan.Imported the stress results to " Fe-safe ". Did fatigue life analysis and got the fatigue life analysis results—fatigue life cloud, which provides basis for life prediction of scraper conveyor linepan.
