The integral impeller as one of the most typical parts in the manufacturing of complex surfaces, is widely used in aviation, aerospace, modern turbo machinery, compressors, turbo machinery, rocket launchers, propulsion plant and other industries. Flank milling can improve processing efficiency and the surface quality, etc. It is the main method of processing the integral impeller ruled surface blades. In the machining process of the ruled surface blades, cutting tools and cutting parameters are the main factors to affect the quality of its surface.According to well-established the objectives of the ruled surface blades model, plan tool path on the blade flank milling and generate NC machining program by post-processing; to consider several important factors that affect the quality of the blade surface, blade roughness as the goal, to do the orthogonal experiment; analysis of measurement results to get the optimal combination of cutting parameters, to reveal the regularity of processing factors on the surface quality, to play the guiding role of processing ruled surface blades in the actual production. The thesis contains the following:1. Tool path planning on.flank milling the ruled surface. Using Matlab programming to achieve the non uniform B spline curves and surfaces, the positive operator, inverse, derivative vector algorithm, to calculate the integral impeller blades, ruled surface data point and generates the effect chart. Plan tool path based on flank milling the ruled surface blades. Calculate the tool axis vector of the cylindrical cutter with the offset method and tool center point coordinates and the step-length. Use the principle of axis of rotation to calculate the conical cutter axis vector. Study of straight and curved surface intersection principle, generating root cleaning cutter locus of points.2. Post-processing and machining simulation. Get post-processing algorithms of dual rotary table five-axis machine tools and generates the NC machining program in five-axis NC machining center of Beijing Jiaotong University, Process simulation In Vericut to check the cut and less cut in the cutting process3. The orthogonal cutting experiment. Select the factors affecting the surface quality by frank milling and design orthogonal cutting experimental program, According to the orthogonal table to modify the NC program and to do the finishing blade experiment, use TR200roughness tester to measure and record the surface roughness of the blade processing.4. Analysis of measurement results. According to the orthogonal experiment table, deal with experimental results by using visual analysis method and variance analysis. Get the law of the impact of various factors on the blade roughness, and on this basis, given the aluminum alloy blade side milling of optimal process parameters.
