With the development of the oil drilling industry, the logging while drilling is gradually replacing the logging wireline logging. It’s mean’s to obtain measurements while drilling. Measurement generally refers to drilling engineering parameter measurement, such as the measurement of inclination, azimuth and tool face, etc.In the oil logging while drilling,the tool face whether rotating affect the effectiveness of logging data, such as resistivity^azimuth、the effectiveness of?-rays, so the rotation is an important parameter, its angular rate is detected by the angular rate sensor, the level of accuracy of the angular rate sensor directly impact on the effectiveness of LWD. In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement of angular rate sensor, a speed calibration is needed. In this paper, the design speed calibration has the following characteristics:functional stability, small size, portable to carry, achieve the calibration of the angular rate sensor accuracy.This paper first describes the speed calibration design background and then a detailed description of the overall design concept of speed calibration, the final detail the various components of this system in form of chapters. The full text is divided into Introduction, the system overall design, the introduction of the stepper motor design, the design of the control board module, the introduction of the wireless transceiver module,conclusion an outlook, and so on.The design idea of this project is given stepper motor a standard speed, the main control module plate includes the angular rate sensor fixed in the center of the stepper motor shaft. With the stepper motor to a stab.le speed, rotates, the main control module board transforms speed to continuous pulse signal.Due to the motor keeps spinning and the limitations of traditional cable transmission, the project uses a wireless transmission, wireless transmitter module connected to the main control board, the receiving part is a wireless to USB virtual serial port device, that connect the master module and PC. At the last, write a program to achieve the serial communication between the main control module and the PC, and the measured data is displayed on the serial debugging assistant software.Based on this design idea, this paper designs and produces the product. The production is completed, the speed calibration works properly, meets the measurement of angular rate sensor accuracy. According to the measurement results, can be realtime correct the accuracy and stability of angle rate sensor, the more accutate the angular rate sensor, the more accurate the tool surface degrees of rotation, so that you can greatly improve the effectiveness of the oil LWD data. This section speed check structure is simple, easy to implement, has great practical value in the oil while drilling logging.
