To develop visible light-driven photocatalysts is very important for decomposition of undesirable chemical contaminants in air aroused by wood-based panels.Using ultrasonic, calcined, and hydrothermal route to prepare N-doped TiO2, ZnO, Zn/Sn-composite oxides, and boehmite-doped AgCl nano-materials. The reaction time’s effect on phase, microstructure, morphology, and thermal stability of the samples were investigated by XRD, FT-IR, EDX, TG-DTA, UV-vis, TEM, and SEM.It was found that the order of the catalyst efficiency on degradation MO was N-doped TiO2, Zn/Sn-composite oxides, boehmite-doped AgCl, and ZnO under UV light; and N-doped TiO2, boehmite-doped AgCl, Zn/Sn-composite oxides, and ZnO under visible light irradiation. The results indicated that solvent, heating time, and temperature had great influence on the samples phase, microstructure, morphology and photocatalytic property, and these materials would be a promising material for photocatalyst applications.
