Casting aluminum alloy is widely uesd in the mechanical,aerospace,automotive,architectural and electronic industy for its superior property.But in the process ofsmelting and pouring of the aluminum and its alloy,they are inclined to oxidize,absorbgas,which lead to a lot of defect such as inclusion,pores,shrinkage cavity,flaw,misrun,leakage.In order to slove these problems,purifying treatment is a fundamentalmeasure and a method of improving the aluminum alloy comprehensive properties.During the treatment of molten aluminum,purification,modifying and refinementshould be combined.Among the three treatments,purification is the key factor,whichis the foundation of refinement and modification.Commonly used aluminum alloy purification methods are:adsorption and adsorptionpurification. Adsorption purification methods: bubble floating method, filtering method,flux, and other three categories. Non adsorbing purification are: static treatment, vacuumtreatment, ultrasonic treatment. Aluminum alloy electroslag purification technology isstill in the research and development, this article is through simple aluminium alloyelectroslag purification device for a variety of aluminum alloy electroslag purificationexperiment, and the slag cleaning method selection of technological parameters andpurification effect of. To ensure good performance of aluminum alloy based on thecombination of the purification process of various parameters, used to guide the designof purifying device. The conclusions are as follows:⑴In the electroslag purification treatment, the hydrogen content in the moltenaluminum alloy is significantly reduced, and the cleaning effect is better than the bubblefloating method. In ensuring the burning loss of alloy effective compensation cases,purified alloy properties are improved.⑵The effect of purifying the main factors including electrode melting rate,electric parameters, the slag layer thickness, cross-sectional shape electrode, wherein the melting speed, electric parameters significantly, the slag layer thickness, and the shapeof the cross section smaller effect.⑶For the purification process, along with the purifying current increases, theelectrode’s melting rate is on the increase. But the current increases to a certain value,the purification process and instability, purification effect drops.⑷in Al-Si series, Al-Cu series aluminum alloy experiments, using cross-sectionalarea of 1.25 x 10-3m2electrode, slag thickness is 60mm, current300A purificationpurification effect best. Slag reuse rate is the 3largest.⑸The electroslag purification device lifting mechanism is reducer matched withscrew continuous step drive, single track. Control with PLC control, touch screen byTP270. Melting furnace crucible is silicon carbide materials shaped crucible lining,lining for refractory fiber and light fire, heating element selection of nickel alloymaterial. DC power supply current range0-600A, voltage0-50V. Device for supporting amelting furnace trolley and degassing device structure.
