CARB bearing is a new type of bearing which are widely used in machineryindustry in recent years. Because of arc roller’s special structural characteristics, itsmanufacturing technology is very complicated. The traditional processing method usedin home can’t meet the requirements of manufacturing efficiency and product qualityin modern manufacturing, so how to solve the problem is very important inmanufacturing the bearing, developing a manufacturing solution is necessary.According to the appearance characteristics of CARB bearing’s arc roller, thispaper designed a set of mold which is suitable for production the roller by using spacegeometrical knowledge, which makes the workpiece smoothly rolling out theappearance we need in forming process. Efficiency of cold rolling technology is veryhigh,which is used in the manufacturing process, mathematica software is used to drawmold,then import the drawn mold into3D simulation software DEFORM which isalso used in the manufacturing process, and the stress of the mold is analyzed in thecold rolling process. Through the practical calculation and theoretical analysis themost reasonable mold parameters and rolling parameters is identified, which makesthe design efficiency obviously improved, so the technological process suitable forprocessing the roller can be determined in a relatively short time, and the foundationcan be laid in the actual application of industrial production.In accordance with the design requirements, the function making cylindricalworkpiece processed into arc roller should be realized by mold, which make the wholeprocess is smooth transition, so design of the rolling surface is especially important,which make the plastic deformation of workpiece reasonable and uniform in therolling process, at the same time the appropriate friction must be determined to avoidworkpiece sliding, by using DEFORM simulation the stress and strain change ofworkpiece can be obtained in the forming process.Through the Simulation experiment by using DEFORM, the results of the mold design ideas and software simulation is verified to be correct, the experiment result isideal and in line with the expected requirements, which proves the feasibility of thedesign and simulation ideas, so the next step the theory and data basis can be providedby cold rolling forming technology of CARB bearing’s arc roller which can be usedin large scale in the manufacturing enterprises.
