Photocatalytic technology is a new wastewater treatment technology developed innearly20years which studied by many researchers because of lots of advantages suchas the high degradation speed, no secondary pollution, simple and efficient.Thephotocatalytic reduction of Cr(Ⅵ), photooxidayion of acid yellow and the synergyeffect of Cr(Ⅵ) and acid yellow in iron(Ⅲ)-pyruvate, iron(Ⅲ)-citrate andiron(Ⅲ)-oxalate system.(1) The photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) and the photooxidation of acid yellow occurs inthe iron(Ⅲ)-pyruvate complexes system and reveals a synergism. The oxidativedecolorization rate of acid yellow and reduction rate would reach100%after100minand14min reaction respectively in the case of pH value of2.0,10μmol/L of Fe (Ⅲ),50μmol/L of pyruvate,50mg/L of acid yellow and19.2μmol/L of Cr(Ⅵ). The initialreaction rate increased with the initial conceration of Fe (Ⅲ), pyruvate, acid yellow andCr(Ⅵ). The apparent kinetic curve of the photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) could be expressedby the following equation:-dCCr(Ⅵ)/dt=1.9565[Cr(Ⅵ)]0.46[Fe(Ⅲ)]0.6[Py]0.57(R2=0.9904),-dCAY/dt=0.9853[AY]0.26[Fe(Ⅲ)]3.53[Py]1.17(R2=0.9872).(2) The photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) and the photooxidation of acid yellow occurs inthe iron(Ⅲ)-oxalate complexes system and reveals a synergism. The oxidativedecolorization rate of acid yellow and reduction rate would reach100%after90minand10min reaction respectively in the case of pH value of2.0,10μmol/L of Fe (Ⅲ),250μmol/L of oxalate,50mg/L of acid yellow and19.2μmol/L of Cr(Ⅵ). The initialreaction rate increased with the initial conceration of Fe (Ⅲ), oxalate, acid yellow andCr(Ⅵ). The apparent kinetic curve of the photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) could be expressedby the following equation:-dCCr(Ⅵ)/dt=1.7645[Cr(Ⅵ)]0.19[Fe(Ⅲ)]0.55[OX]0.3(R2=0.99),-dCAY/dt=1.1857[AY]0.37[Fe(Ⅲ)]0.46[OX]0.52(R2=0.9902).(3) The photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) and the photooxidation of acid yellow occurs inthe iron(Ⅲ)-citrate complexes system and reveals a synergism. The oxidative decolorization rate of acid yellow and reduction rate would reach100%after100minand14min reaction respectively in the case of pH value of2.0,10μmol/L of Fe (Ⅲ),250μmol/L of citrate,50mg/L of acid yellow and19.2μmol/L of Cr(Ⅵ). The initialreaction rate increased with the initial conceration of Fe (Ⅲ), citrate, acid yellow andCr(Ⅵ). he apparent kinetic curve of the photoreduction of Cr(Ⅵ) could be expressed bythe following equation:-dCCr(Ⅵ)/dt=0.1019d[Cr(Ⅵ)]0.53[Fe(Ⅲ)]0.6[cit]0.25(R2=0.9904),-dCAY/dt=0.0916[Fe(Ⅲ)]0.74[cit]0.42[AY]0.3(R2=0.9957).
