In recent years, with the process of urban industrialization, pollution has become inevitable in China’s development, the needs of the urban sewage treatment is also increasing, so is also imperative for the development of new technology.BAF technology are the areas of the biological treatment of biofilm, the technology was first developed by the French company OTV, it is a new sewage treatment technology developed by the1980s, In China, the BAF technology is in development stage, part of China’s industrial wastewater treatment using this technology. Many domestic research and design units of biological aerated filter is also studied. Biological Aerated Filter in the world and the popularization of many scholars in terms of its structure, function, start and filter specific research has achieved a lot.As a new sewage treatment methods, Biological Aerated Filter (BAF) with less investment, covers an area of small size, simple operation, low operating cost advantages, but this new method not only can be used alone, but also some sewage approach combined with organic. All week, China is a country of a shortage of water resources, and limited to our present capital and technology, large amounts of sewage untreated they can arbitrarily emissions not only pollutes the environment, but is exacerbated by the status quo of China’s water shortage in this kind of environment, this new method of biological aerated filter is undoubtedly China’s sewage treatment brought a new turnSubject to a certain place in urban sewage treatment plants, through the engineering of biological aerated filter technology implementation, the water quality of COD-100mg/1of BOD-25mg/1, the SS-30mg/1, NH3-N-18NH3-N, TP-1.0NH3-N after treatment, the effluent were50mg/1,10mg/1,10mg/1,5mg/1,0.5mg/1, the removal rate have reached more than50%.
