To support the entry in steep-thick coal seam safely is the technical basis of safely andeffectively mining. We must monitor and test the relaxation zone, fracture and thedeformation of the surrounding rock using the instruments. By the analysis for monitoring andobservation data, we can get the relaxation zone, fracture and the law of the deformation, thenthese data can be used for the support and they can be used as important and reasonable basis.Artificial Neural Network is a efficient method for the research on the complex and not lineardeformation of the entry and safely mining production. This paper base on the Jian Gou coalcompany of the ShenHua Energy Co.,Ltd in Xinjiang and use relaxation zone testinginstrument and sight testing instrument to get the relaxation zone, fracture area for sometypical entry or coal seam, then analyze and evaluate the current supply method and offer theimprove method. And this paper design the observation scheme for518B6entry and observeit, and considering multiple factors to get the deformation law of the entry. Then analyze thesupporting method using the law. BP Neural Network is a efficient method for the research onthe complex and not linear deformation of the entry, this paper research the BP NeuralNetwork, and base on the Actual situation of the518B6entry. Design the appropriate model, then train the model using the deformation data, and forecast the future deformation of theentry. By the verification, forecast data is correct very much. So the BP Neural Network is anew method for the research on deformation of other similar entry. As JianGou coal companyis similar with other coal company in Urumqi, the research result is very useful for them.
