Single point incremental forming technology can significantly shorten the new productlife cycles. In the sheet metal forming does not need a die. In the processing of smallquantities, multi-species, complicated sheet metal parts have a certain advantage. Thetechnique has great development potential and broad development prospect.The high strength and low density metal like titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, always beused in the aerospace products. It is very important to introduce Single point incrementalforming into the titanium forming for improving the level of manufacturing in China’saerospace. In this paper, using ANSYS/LS-DYNA software based on TA2to establish thefinite element model of sheet metal on the TA2single-point incremental forming numericalsimulation analysis. In this paper, using the theory of metal plastic forming on single pointincremental forming process of stress and strain state are analyzed.This paper explores the single-point incremental forming process control principle, aswell as the single point incremental forming of sheet metal thickness and the reduction rateof the thickness of the theoretical formula calculation for for a single point incrementalforming process parameters providing theory basis.To square a case, on single point incremental forming process is simulated by using adie, and incremental forming two forming method for simulating the metal forming processto compare two kinds of forming way of forming precision. Two forming numericalsimulation results were compared. The influence of different parameters of single pointincremental forming process to the quality of forming parts by changing the shape of thesupport mold the radius forming tool head size, sheet thickness, the friction parametersbetween tool head and the sheet metal is investigated by using numerical simulation. Therules is discovered to optimize the forming parameters in test.If the supporting mode and the shape of the forming shape size approaches, finallyforming parts quality more accord with actual requirement. With the increase of the radiusof the forming tool head, equivalent stress values decreased. Sheet thickness is not the mainfactors of influencing sheet thinning rate, but the thickness too thin, sheet will be crackingrisk. Gap should choose to close the tool head radius, but not more than a tool head radius.The friction coefficient increases with the increase of the equivalent value of stress.
