In recent years, high-performance materials is demanded by people and becomes moreand more urgent, particle reinforced metal matrix composites (PMMC) has become the objectof favor. Although it has the good specific stiffness and specific strength. Low plasticity andlow toughness of PMMC, however, has restricted its further development and application.How to improve the plasticity and toughness has become the focus of research anddevelopment of PMMC.In this paper, many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites is made by the stircasing method. The experiment is researched microstructure of composites to distribution,morphology and pretreatment process of SiC particle, and the mechanical properties ofcomposite material influence law are based on the study of particle diameter, volume fractionof SiC, the types and mixing proportion of different SiC particle, and parameters.Experimental results show that:(1) In many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites, with volume fraction of manyparticle diameter of SiC increasing, SiC particle distributes in composite materials much more;with stirring time lenging, SiC particle becomes more evenly in composite materials. But themixed type and proportion have little influence to it.(2) Wear resistance of many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites is much betterthan matrix alloy and single particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites.with volumefraction of SiC grain increasing, Wear resistance of many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites improves gradually. Wear resistance of many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composites is best that the size of the particle mixs with2:1, quality for1:4and1:2is theworst.(3) Compressive strength and bending strength that the combination of mixed grains in20μ m and10μ m is2-1is best, and the best volume fraction is8%~15%.(4) In the compression and three point bending of many particle diameter of SiC_p/ZL107composite materials, compression sample is fracture to45°of axis direction; bendspecimens of fracture port are more level off, compression and bending all show brittlefracture characteristics.
