It has established many considerable scale of city sewage treatment plantthroughout our country, the primary goal of water treatment has turned the removal oforganic to the removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. From the running situation, almostall of the sewage treatment plant have the same problems of operation managementare complex and unstable process control, the sewage treatment plant has theprevalence of high energy consumption in nitrogen and phosphorus in our country, there are many scientific and technical problems need to urgent. At the same time, onthe removal of nitrogen and phosphorus in the wastewater treatment process and thecorresponding standard in the discharge water, especially on the lack of systemresearch in estrogen of endocrine disrupting chemicals, there is no correspondingstandard, it must be imperative in the removal of these pollutants, also the estrogenremoval becomes environment hot spots that academic circles pay close attention to.Therefore, it should system research the biodegradation characteristics of estrogen inthe process, when optimization and research new wastewater technology or process toobtain the better operating conditions of nitrogen and phosphorus removal. It is widely used as chemical detecting methodologies which include GC/MS andbiological monitoring approaches which embrace have recombinant gene yeas in theestrogens detection currently. This study established the chemical detection methedwhich is applied to the estrogens in sewage: Determine the conditions of GC and MS;The derivative agent was100μ L BSTFA(1%TMCS) and50μ L pyridine,temperature70℃, time30min; Activating agent with ethyl acetate、methanol andwater, leaching agent with water/methanol(1/1), eluting agent with ethyl acetate in thesolid phase extraction. The recovery rate of the target compounds E1、E2、EE2were118.97%、58.53%and71.61%in the sewage water, showed that the chemical analysismethod established by the use of GC/MS can be used in the detection of estrogenicwastewater.Conventional treatment process of sewage, the removal of estrogen includes theprocess of sludge absorption which transform the estrogen from the activatedwater-phase sludge to solid-phase and biodegradation which is the primary approach.During stability operation in the A2O process, the effluent COD、TN and TP was28.18mg/L、20.07mg/L and0.38mg/L, the removal rate reached91.53%、76.81% and94.0%respectively. The A2O process had a good performance of estrogen (E1、E2and EE2) removal, the removal efficiency reached92.7%、100%and62.7%respectively. Taking aerobic sludge of the A2O process to do batch test on estrogenicsubstances, showed that E1and EE2was mainly removed by the activated sludgeadsorption while E2was mainly removed through biodegradation.
