The elbow is the main pressure pipe connections, Study of low energy consumption,high quality of bend forming process in recent years become the focus of research anddevelopment of enterprise. At present, plate stamping forming technology of butt weldelbow still exists high energy consumption and the forming of low quality faults. But withthe manufacturing technology and process of the rapid development as well as the productcompetition upgrade, we need improve the forming process, to further improve theforming quality and energy utilization rate. In this paper we use finite element softwareDynaform to establish the finite element model of elbow expansion material, Optimizationof the elbow blank shape and size, and analysis elbow thickness distribution andformability. In order to reduce energy consumption, we change the elbow hot pressingprocess to cold.We use finite element software ABAQUS to establish the elbow coldstamping and spring back model, Optimize the placement of the sheet, And analysis of theinfluence of unit type, finite element method and uninstall path to springback simulation.In order to improve elbow forming quality,we use hot shaping to Stamping - thewelded elbow to establish a hot plastic model of the elbow of the whole diameter, and wetake the optimization experiments of elbow necking ratio, Giving the optimizedparameters of the whole diameter thermal plastic.Taking the measurement and analysis ofthe results of hot forming of the plastic elbow. Testing the parameters of elbow perimeter,shrink diameter ratio and ellipse parameters. After inspection of the parameters of elbow,all reached fitting standard index. This proved the feasibility of the elbow thermal plastic.The combination of sheet material, cold stamping the butt and the results ofparameters of the whole diameter thermal plastic simulation and optimization, and in areference for existing mould factory based on the parameter to improve mould shape,Designing the mould of elbow cold stamping - Plastic combination . Reducing the cost ofthe mold and improving the utilization rate of mould.
