Hyperspectral remote sensing technology is one of the greatest achievements in remote sensing technology in 1980s. Mineral Mapping Spectroscopy is a technique based on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing.Although there are some successful experiments on mineral mapping using the short-wave infrared (SWIR) reflectance spectroscopy in many developed countries, less work has been done in China. Moreover, all work of the previous study on SWIR in China was about application on typical hydrothermal alteration deposit. The applicability of SWIR reflectance spectroscopy on non-hydrothermal deposits has not been well studied. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the application of SWIR on the typical quartz vein-type gold deposit of Jinqingding gold deposit, Rushan, Shandong.The main results achieved as follow:1. Identified eight kinds of altered minerals which could be related with the mineralization of Jinqingding golden deposit, including muscovite, anhydrite, illite, chlorite, calcite, siderite, halloysite, montmorillonite.2. Statistical analysis on altered minerals shows that chlorite, calcite and siderite have a positive correlation with the gold grade. The result shows that, by using qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis to identify altered minerals, SWIR reflectance spectroscopy can help mining prospecting in long-term deep zone.3. Summed up 3 mineral assemblages which were related to Au mineralization and Au ore body, including anhydrite + muscovite + montmorillonite, kaolinite and more water + illite, calcite + siderite.4. The hydrothermal alteration is zoned, as changing outwards from chlorite and carbonate minerals in the center, through clay mineral composition to muscovite on the edge. 5. By studying on the integrated spectrum of the altered minerals, the standard rock short-wave infrared reflectance spectrum library of Jinqingding golden deposit was established.
