Landslide is a variety of damage to one of the biggest disaster types of geological disasters, once the landslide instability will give people’s life and property bring serious harm to harm and all kinds of engineering safety one of the biggest disasters type. Gansu province is the most serious landslide disaster in the world, especially the landslide disaster showed a trend of increase year by year in recent decades. So the study of landslides in the region is particularly important.Based on the boat Suo’ertou landslide in Gansu province as the research object, with500g-t of large geotechnical centrifuge of Chengdu University of Technology, simulation Suo’ertou landslide under natural and rainfall, conditions of deformation and failure characteristics, and use of geological engineering analysis method, limit equilibrium method and centrifuge simulation analysis, and discuss the sliding mechanism of landslides. Main research results obtained as follows:(1)Deformation and failure characteristics and instability mechanism of landslide is analyzed, through site investigation and engineering geological condition of landslide, provide the basis for the selection of centrifugal model.(2)Boat Suo’ertou landslide in Gansu province as the research object, under high acceleration simulation of the field of landslide deformation and failure use the Chengdu University of Technology TLJ-500type of geotechnical centrifuge.(3)Through indoor soil test to determine the model of soil density and moisture content.Pototype model parameters of soil and soil are basically identical, laid a solid foundation and accurately simulate the actual situation.(4)In natural conditions, experimental models under250g high acceleration simulation of landslide deformation and failure.Analysis of test data after the centrifugal test, among various data has the characteristics of similar developments and changes. Contact each other and support each other through a variety of data, the segment to integral creep landslide sliding mode.(5)In rainfall conditions, experimental models under200g high acceleration simulation of landslide deformation and failure. Analysis of test data after the centrifugal test, test model under natural and rainfall conditions of failure characteristics and field, model surface by the rains washed out increased the surface crack growth, at the same time, the rain infiltration water level rise accelerated the landslide sliding failure. Displacement test model is mainly composed of vertical settlement and horizontal displacement. Through a variety of data analysis of the contact each other and support each other, the segment to integral creep landslide sliding mode, and the landslide characteristics.(6)Through theoretical analysis and centrifugal simulation integrated analysis, landslide as a whole is given priority to with creep deformation.
