Yongping deposit is located in the Yanshan County in Jiangxi, which issecond-largest scale Copper rich polymetallic deposit in Jiangxi Province. HuoShaogang open-pit and Hu Jiashan the eastern newly found orebody distributed inYongping ore field. Hu Jiashan area is located in eastern of Yongping deposit, whichis new major breakthrough of geological prospecting in last years and increased about300,000tons Cu resource of333+334type. This paper based on the detailed fieldwork in Huo Shaogang open-pit and Hu Jiashan orebody, indoor and outdoor research,we draw some preliminary conclusions following:(1) we found the ore-forming materials hosted by interlayered andesitic basaltand andradite skarn with siliceous and schist, layered and lentoid ore body in HuoShaogang open-pit. It is typical sea bottom volcanic effusive sedimentaryenvironment.(2) The presence of a large number of colloidal pyrite in Huo Shaogang meansthat there had been large-scale hot water sedimentary. It had played an important rolein the mineralization process that metamorphism(or skarnization) represented byrecrystallization colloidal pyrite and andradite skarn. And the hydrothermal alterationmade the ore-forming materials more concentrated.(3) In addition to copper and tungsten, we made sure the concentration ofbismuth and indium up to the lowest level for exploration in Huo Shaogang. We alsohave found Re-scheelite, Ree-uraninite and a series of tellurium and bismuth minerals,such as native bismuth, bismuthinite, emplectite, Ag-cuprobismutite, argentobismutite,Warren Sharansky ore, tellurobismuthite, pilsenite,iron-copper-tellurium-sulfur-bismuth ore, Tc-hessite, bismuth-telluride-silver ore(?),pilsenite-hessite(?).(4) we found two kinds of mineraliation genesis in shallow part where above766.0m depth in drilling ZK725of Hu Jiashan and deep part under766.0m. Theshallow part is magmatic hydrothermal-structure mineralization and the deep part is the eastern extension of Yongping deposit.(5)(Zn, Sb) Tetrahedrite in quartz vein type ores in Hu Jiashan represented thesigns of hydrothermal mineralization, mylonite magmatite reflected structuremineralization. The presence of a large number of colloidal pyrite means that therehad been large-scale hot water sedimentary and the same mineralization system asYongping deposit.(6) We also have found (Zn, Sb)Tetrahedrite, Re-scheelite, Re-ferberite, uraninite,thorianite, pilsenite, hammarite, hessite, volynskite. In addition to copper, zinc, lead,cadmium and tungsten in Hu Jiashan, we made sure the concentration of bismuth andindium up to the lowest level for exploration.(7) Based on Yongping typical deposit, we made the typical deposit model ofYongping Copper Mine and this paper selects Yongping town Hu Jiashan area andYing Jiang town Wang Wu area of Yan Shan County as the prospecting target areas.These areas preferred are all belong to the peripheral area of Yongping Copper Mine,with similar geological characteristics to Yongping Copper Mine and great potentialfor prospecting copper, molybdenum and sulfur.
