In this paper, we investigate the comparisons of sea surface height anomaly derived byfprroemss uthree-sseenabsoerd-etoq utihpep seeda isnuvrefratceed aencdh oth seo suenad berost t(oPmIE pSr eSsLA) and satellite altimetry in SouthwestJapan/East Sea. PIES can be used to measure the propagatisounre t i m e τ measuring the acoustic waves. Bottom pressure and acousticpropagation time were used to estimate the contribution of sea surface height anomaly of waterquality changes (positive pressure) and hematocrit changes (baroclinic) respectively. In this paper, using correlation analysis, T/P along-track satellite SLA and ERS-2along-track satellite seasurface height anomaly (TP SLA, ERS-2SLA) and the AVISO gridded sea surface heightanomalies were compared with PIES SLA, the possible sources of error is estimated, the impactthe PIES SLA positive pressure part and the baroclinic part of the result of the comparison areanalyzed. The comparison shows that PIES SLA and TP SLA correlation coefficient is0.914, andthe root mean square error (Root Mean Squared, RMS) is8.7cm. The PIES SLA and the ERS-2SLA correlation coefficient between0.75-0.90, the root mean square error of7.6-10.7cm. PIESSLA the AVISO gridded sea surface height anomaly correlation coefficient from0.75to0.94.These results indicate that:1. comparison to the Gulf Stream and the Kuroshio, barotropic part ofthe sea surface height is relatively large in this region;2If we consider the changes in thebaroclinic contribution of sea surface height, PIES SLA and satellite altimeter SLA-relatedcoefficient will be improved.3.In the high energy region the PIES SLA and satellite altimeter SLAcorrelation coefficient is higher, in line with the relatively good.4. After Low-pass filtering, theAVISO gridded sea surface height anomalies Ref SLA, PIES SLA, related coefficient will beimproved, and the mean square error will be reduced.5. In near shore areas, due to the shelf breakat the geoid (geoid) is relatively steep, satellite lateral uncertainty leads to measurement error, making the relatively low correlation coefficient between PIES SLA and satellite altimeter SLA.Overall, in the Japan/East Sea, PIES the SLA and satellite altimeter SLA correlation coefficient isrelatively higher, with a high level of consistency, provide a reliable way to check for Ocean IIsatellite (HY-2) altimeters.
