Anti-seepage project is the key to solving the problem of water seepage and thepollution in groundwater and soil. This paper is based on the anti-seepage project of aevaporation pond which used for sewage evaporator for coal-based natural gas projectbelong to DIPGY in Inner Mongolia KeShenKeTengQi. The paper studied theseepage rule of the anti-seepage structures which are consisted as High DensityPolyethylene Geomembrane (short for HDPE)+Geosynthetic Clay liner (short forGCL) and HDPE+fluid discharge guiding layer+HDPE under the condition that theHDPE with defect. Specific work for the paper as follows:(1) Tested the physical,chemical and mechanical properties of HDPE;(2) Experiment for anti-seepagestructure with defecting HDPE:1)The model experiments: simulated the actual worksby laying materials in a large trough, and made artificial hole on HDPE. Observedthat that how the fluid spreadedin the horizontal direction and how the water pressurechanged in the bottom of the sand cushion.2)In order to obtain accurate leakage data,conducted leakage experiments with vertical permeation apparatus,and observed thathow the size of the defect and the water head influenced the leakage.(3)Consideringall the experiment results choose the ptimum anti-seepage structure.(4)Finally, byexperiments contrasted the filling effect of several materials,and provided referencesfor emergency treatment.
