The parton energy loss in high energy collisions has attracted an increasing attention from both the nuclear and particle physics communities. The wealth of experimental data on jet-quenching reflect clearly the energy loss of fast partons while traversing this hot and dense medium in high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions. However, a detailed understanding of the parton energy loss in hot and dense medium requires a good investigation into the fast parton propagation in cold nuclear matter, because there are common elements between the two mediums. The nuclear Drell-Yan process provide the ideal enviorment for studying parton energy loss effect. In this paper, taking into account the energy loss effect, calculate the differential cross section ration respectively for QCD corrected Drell-Yan and without QCD correction Drell-Yan by using HKM01,NDS04and HKN07three different types of nuclear parton distribution functions. We compared the value of differential cross section ration respectively for QCD corrected Drell-Yan and without QCD correction Drell-Yan with Fermi-lab E866and E772experimental data. We find that the value of quark energy loss depends on the bound nuclear parton distribution functions, the gluon and quark energy loss ration deviation in QCD theory and the value of quark energy loss of without QCD correction Drell-Yan is bigger than that of QCD corrected Drell-Yan. In brief, taking use of nuclear Drell-Yan progress can’t distinguish the relationship of gluon and quark energy loss belong to QCD or not to QCD.
