Biostratigraphy Of The Cambrian-Ordovician In Yingzi Benxi

Liaoning is located in the southern part of the northeast China, which is an importanttransportation hub in northeast provinces. Benxi is a mountain city, located in east-centralLiaoning. Geographical coordinates is in E23°34′to125°46′, N40°49′to41°35′, an averagealtitude of about350m. A total area of8411km2, shape is long and narrow dumbbell. Benxi islocated on the east side of the Liaohe river plain in the mountain, the district from the point ofview of landscape is an isolated basins. Taizihe is the most important rivers in Benxi, movingfrom east to west, and finally into the Loathe river into the sea.Cambrian and Ordovician in the region structure is relatively stable, strata exposed widely,both wings in synclinal area. The Benxi area exposed strata are mainly distributed in southernTaizihe Basin and Huanren. Fossils are very rich, Cambrian including trilobites, archaeocyathan,brachiopods, gastropods, ostracoda, algae and conodont, etc. Ordovician is given priority to withcephalopods, followed by the conodont, brachiopods, gastropods, trilobites, graptolites, etc.The main object of study is Cambrian-Ordovician strata and fauna in Benxi Liaoning, thestudy area Yingzi located in Benxi Taizihe Basin, sequence division is more clear, strata exposedwidely and continuously, is the study of stratigraphic sequence, sedimentary facies and faunaideal area. The author went to Yingzi, Baishilazi, Huolianzai, Xiangmo for field geologicalsurvey in2012. Measured section is Baishilazi, refer to the relevant section two, namelyErdaogou N Yingzi Benxi section and Luotuolazi Yingzi section. Systematic classificated thefossil specimens collected from the study area, described fossil11genera and12species.Summarized the Benxi Taizihe basin middle and late Cambrian and Ordovician stratigraphicsequence and lithologic character.For a long time Cambrian and Ordovician boundary there has been debate in North China.Liaoning Cambrian and Ordovician strata system, lithofacies and lithology similar, stratigraphicsequence and environmental evolution. Taizihe region of Cambrian and Ordovician sedimentarystrata are the most close to north China, lithology similar, fossil also has comparative.
