Lots of manual workers are still necessary for routing inspection due to the specificity ofitself. Therefore operating quality and ability have received more attention. Correctunderstanding of the formation of the operational level of workers and the factors whichdetermine human behavior can improve operational quality. By reducing production cost andenhancing product quality allows companies to be more competitive against fierce marketcompetition. This paper, with the welding workshop as background and the routing inspection as theresearch object, is conducted studies from two respects for the operator behavior of routinginspection. Firstly, ignoring differences of operating environments and individual operators, atheoretical modeling study had been performed for operator behaviors and their psychologyfrom operation procedures. Secondly, a system dynamics modeling study of factors in routinginspection operational behavior has been constructed by considering both the humaninfluence on the system and the internal and external factors influencing the workers. Thesestudies are micro and macro analysis respectively, comprising the modeling and simulation ofrouting inspection procedure cognitive behavior altogether.First of all, with the task analysis, this paper use task analysis method based on behaviordivided task into several subtasks for each station by taking a welding workshop as thebackground. And then, according to the data collected to make flow process chart andestablish routing inspection behavior state graph. Lay the foundation for subsequent cognitivepsychological analysis.Secondly, the process of cognitive psychology for routing inspection operations wasanalyzed. Based on cognitive psychology theories, the corresponding operating behaviors’schemata model was established and the psychology of each operating state was concluded.Through the psychological schemata of the operating state, an operation trace analysis modelwas constructed. By summarizing relevant human error theories, the important quality controlpoints in operations were found. Also human errors during operation could be predicted in thepaper. Finally, combining with system dynamics, this paper analyze the factors that affectworkers operation behavior from the perspective of the cognitive map. To study the keyfactors of the key subsystems by dividing the factors which affect the inspection operationalbehaviors. And explore the influencing factors of routing inspection operators and therelationship between them.By applying the analysis and optimization methods of the industrial engineering fieldand related theories such as engineering psychology, cognitive psychology, human error and system dynamics, the routing inspection operating behavior processes and its influence onsystem was studied. And an cognitive behavior modeling and simulation was constructed.
