With the rapid development of mobile Internet, LBS (Location Based Services) is becoming more and more indispensable in people’s daily life. And also with the rapid development of earth observation, worldwide high resolution remote sensing image acquisition has become possible. In the meantime, the accuracy of mobile positioning is gradually becoming the hot research point in the domain of communication, remote sensing and so on.Based on the application of Google map API in enterprise-level projects, this thesis proposes the improved measures----A secondary development of Mobile Positioning and LBS Based on Android handheld device. This thesis tries to probe into the mobile location methods, studing the key positioning technologies on Android platform and the related interface functions, which solves the problems of positioning deviation under different circumstances and can guarantee the precision within an acceptable range.On the basis of the further study of the mobile terminal equipment at startup after LBS service real-time positioning mobile terminal to the influence of the power consumption, and put forward the optimization of the client and server architecture method. Judging whether user position changes or not through the mobile phone built-in sensors, so that the positioning server can timing push position data to mobile equipment, and making mobile equipment built-in GPS module most time in the power saving mode. So mobile equipment in outdoor’s work time can be longer, and has greatly improved the real-time mobile positioning control system’s application value.In the end, mobile client application is developed based on Android framework layer with using Google Map API to parse and display the map, and implements the other relevant functions of this prototype system. The main program of backend servers was developed based on the classic J2EE framework and abides by MVC mode. In the process of Mobile Positioning System’s research, the author has consulted a great number of references. In the process of system design and its realization the author applies the research and practice method in software engineering.
