From on70time begin the century, the United States as the world’s top scientific and technological power, started to the space of further research. Now, GPS (Global Positioning System) technique has been widely applied in each realm of the world, relates to navigation, geographic location, precise time to proofread, as well as in the application of military field.The main purpose of this paper is the study of GPS technology in precise time correcting function in Civil Aviation ATM system. Through the analysis of satellite data provided information, extracted from the accurate time information, and using the accurate time information on Civil Aviation ATM devices uniform time standard.This paper from the GPS receiver of the simple principle, introduces the system composing of the GPS profiles, GPS positioning based knowledge and global unified time. We now Civil Aviation ATM system using the GPS clock device has complicated structure, expensive price, higher maintenance cost, and the interface has strict control. This article is aimed at this one circumstance, design a smaller volume, convenient carrying, low price and with independent intellectual property rights GPS correcting time equipment.According to the above requirements, this paper focuses on the GPS correcting time system design of studies, from large GPS receiver to small GPS chip has done a detailed understanding, analysis of the system working principle, structure and how to realize the correcting time function etc, and the system some functions realization detail description.In this paper, mainly completed the following work:1. Analysis of the GPS receiver in which the received signal to the GPS after the demodulated navigation message contains various information.2. GPS correcting time system of the basic working principles, and elaborated how to time information is extracted and provided to other equipment using3. The extracted time signal from the standard NMEA-0183format can be converted into we use signal.
