| It is a cross-issue involving many subjects simultaneously for us to study the photonic tunneling effect or the anomalous propagation of electromagnetic wave, and, as a young and spunky field, it has theoretical and practical interest. However, as for this field, its development in theory is behind that in experiment and is far from maturity. In this field, some experimental results, which contradict our traditional theories, have not been obtained a satisfactory interpretation theoretically.What is more, to our surprise, this anomalous propagation of electromagnetic wave can also take place in free space. In this paper, our main aim lies in trying to provide a reasonable interpretation theoretically to this phenomenon.Faster Than Light is one of the fundamental differences between relativity and quantum mechanics, superluminal research involves Special Relativity, General Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Information Technology, Quantum Field Theory, Electronics, Aerospace Science Disciplines, etc. It discusses the mass-velocity equation,the mass-energy formula, quality concept and the rest mass of photon in the theory of relativity, which contradicts implicity in the system.It also analyses the contradictions between Einstein’s theory of Relativity and Quantum Theory in physical ideas. This thesis also includes de Broglie wave phase velocity, quantum relevance in spin entanglement, cosmological evidence (horizon difficulty, changes in the fine structure constant), gravity propagation speed, experiments and theories in fast than light, the FTL particles theory, classical theory in velocity of electromagnetic wave and so on.Of course we should respect Einstein as usual, at the same time we must critically inherit his theory with the times. In recent years, experimental research on Fast Than Light around the world develops well, while the scientific theories mushroome one after another, but in the overall, the average level of is not high, only at a starting stage.This thesis concludes pre-existing related theories and experiments, mainly focused on the phenomenon of electromagnetic wave anomalous propagation, and also challenge some of the concepts and principles of the theory of relativity.The main conclusions are stated as following:(1) By reviewing the history development of relativity, challenge the mass-velocity equation, the mass-energy formula,further thought on quality concept and the rest mass of photon.(2) Propose that the velocity of gravity propagation is superluminal, do not rule out the possibility of action at a distance.(3) By analyzing we can arrive at the conclusion that overpassing the speed of light does not mean that causality is broken.(4) From the history of cosmic evolution, from the whole view of scientific development, constant speed of light is very limited, and the concept that the velocity of light is greatest also needs to be amended.(5) It critically inherited the Sommerfeld-Brillouin’s wave speed theory, propose that a negative group velocity also means superluminal, and analyze that both the superluminal phase velocity and the superluminal group velocity, their spread of information and energy will not exceed the speed of light. |
