Polarization is one of the basic properties of light，it is often used as a carrier ofinformation in different fields．For this reason，people attention to the polarization changehas greatly increased．The application of the polarization measurement，as a measurement ofbeam polarization state of the instrument has been widely．This article designs thepolarization state measuring methods in a variety of principle，and proposes a newmeasurement method based on the Brewster angle of polarization．Firstly，it introduces andanalyzes the various mathematical methods which express the polarization state and the linkbetween them．Secondly，it discusses several polarization state measurement techniques，and focus on the discussion of the shortcomings of these methods，and on this basis，a newpolarization measurement method has put forward．Again，the conjugate of the polarizationmeasurement modules has been proved．Finally，and the various components that constitutethe new polarization meter model are given，which includes polarization measurementmodules，data acquisition hardware and software．The article also test the function of theonline monitoring of the polarization state of the simulation software，which has beenconfirmed that it can reliably show the polarization properties of the semiconductor laserbeam．...
