Land subsidence refers to a local decline in motor of crustal surface elevation or aengineering geological phenomenon, which is because of the loose strata consolidationcompression with the influence of the economic activities of human beings. In the half of the21st century, with China’s urbanization process and the expand of underground resources, theproblem of land subsidence will become more prominent. We must do more in-depth study, and take certain measures according to different situations. Including the accurate monitoringof surface changes at any time, close monitoring of the groundwater level settlement, provideaccurate observational data timely is essential to predict ground settlement. For the overall study of land subsidence, we need not only professional knowledge ofmeasurement, but also the knowledge of multi-disciplinary cross-fusion, and a wide range ofdisciplines including geology, the elastic-plastic mechanics, soil mechanics, systems theory, cybernetics, etc.. This essay study the ground subsidence of Fujian urban agglomeration onthe west side of the Straits, systematically collect the geological structure, physicalexploration, crustal deformation data of Changle-Nanao area, grasp the geological evolutionand tectonic setting of the geological unit, and study the mechanism of the urbanagglomeration mechanism’s settlement. Systematically study the modern measurementtechniques based on GNSS and InSAR, and make an implement plan of the urbanagglomerations ground subsidence monitoring with the fusion of heterogeneous andmulti-source information. Build, optimize the crustal deformation monitoring network forChangle-Nanao fault zone, and design the GPS and levelling monitoring programs. Then layfocus on the area of urban group and the national key projects, and provide the basis for thethree-dimensional crustal deformation field of the study area and urban planning. Based onthe traditional InSAR and D-InSAR, further study the SBAS-InSAR technology, and discussthe applications for the ground subsidence deformation monitoring of Fujian urbanagglomeration, and make some recommendations and outlook for the further study.
