Underground Magneto Fluid (UMF) detection method is a kind of method mainlyused in detecting underground water. Compared with the traditional geophysicalexploration methods, the UMF detection method is really better in aspects ofdistinguishing the underground flowing water and solid mineral and undergroundfissure, not only because of it has high accuracy and reliability, but also because of ithas the property of unique solution when used it to detect water, which overcomingthe disadvantages of the traditional geophysical methods, which always got multipleresults in underground water exploration. However, the UMF method has its ownshortages: simple explaining methods and abstract but not intuitive demonstratingmeans. These disadvantages are to be further improved and perfected urgently. In theother hand, the Resistivity Tomography is one of the very important explorationtechnologies in applied geophysics. This technology demonstrates the detectionresults in the form of images, which is intuitive and can easily be understood. Thus, tocombine the UMF method and the resistivity imaging technology is an important wayto improve and perfect the UMF method. This is the aim to be achieved in this paper.On the basis of consulting extensive related literature at home and abroad, thewriter provides a brief analysis on about related concepts of resistivity imagingtechnology and its research situation, and makes a deep research on the theoreticalbasis both of UMF detection method and resistivity imaging. Then, makes apreliminary research and exploration on resistivity imaging technology based on theUMF method considering the actual situation of UMF detection method and UMFdetecting equipment, and in the end puts forward a kind of resistivity imaging methodbased on the UMF detection method.The following are the main works done in this paper:Firstly, the author makes a simple introduce to the related concept of resistivityimaging and the research status both at home and abroad. Then analyzes some theory,including finite-difference forward numerical modeling, boundary conditions, Zohdyinversion, Smooth constrained least squares inversion and block inversion, etc. And atlast summarizes the general research ideas and steps of studying and implementingthe resistivity imaging technique.Secondly, the writer establishes a strata structure model containing a water flowaccording to factual and extracts the mathematical model. Thirdly, the author makes a numerical simulation modeling with finite-elementmethod, and gets the forward and inversion modeling conclusion.Fourthly, the author realizes the resistivity imaging.In the end, the writer gives an application of the new resistivity imaging method,which proves that the method is very effective.
