With economic growth, the underground engineering is increasing day by day, accuracyhigher and higher. As the most accurate and fast instrument in underground directionalmeasurement, the application of gyroscopes is more and more widely.Firstly, the paper tells the principle of gyro sensitive the earth and the methods of findingthe north using the traditional the tilting gyro. And then the paper analyzed the characteristicsof GAT gyroscope structure. The most important in the paper is maglev gyroscope dataanalysis and processing.The main work and their results are as follows:1. The paper uses runs test, the chi-square goodness-of-fit test and the autocorrelationfunction method testing stability,normality and periodicity on stator current data and rotorcurrent data. It is proved that stator current data is smooth and approximate normaldistribution,and rotor current data is low frequency periodic on the condition that environmentis little influence. The wave is similar to sine wave.2. For GAT maglev gyroscope, the change of reverse torque responses the change ofgyro-house. Hence, this paper analysis reverse torque of three different found north directionin one directional. And the paper also connect the change of the data and the change ofgyro-house’s physical location and state.3. The paper do processing on two different waveforms of rotor current data. One isgetting rid of mutations period on low frequency band mutations waveform. The other iscalculating the whole week mean on sine wave. Then the paper compares the before and theafter of processing and the result is good.4. At last, the paper does wavelet domain denoising on stator current data and rotorcurrent data. The accuracy of level is improving after getting rid of high frequency noise, andit’s also meaningful for study of intermediate frequency change on rotor current data.
