Gongpoquan copper is one of the most important types of deposits in Beishan region.After years of research and exploration, a large number of important results, but there are stillscientific issues in the ore-controlling factors, genesis and mineralization. This is notconducive to the deposit prospecting and exploration work, but also have a significant impacton the summary Beishan regional metallogenic regularity.In this paper, the geological and geochemical research methods, by a large number offield geological research on the basis of identification the deposits of basic geologicalcharacteristics, combined with test analysis of representative rock, ore samples, trace elements,REE, stable isotopes and fluid inclusions, etc. In-depth study of the deposits of ore-controllingfactors, and investigate the forming material sources and metallogenic physicochemicalcondition, and ultimately reveal the mechanism of mineralization.The result shows that, the Gongpoquan copper area development of the NEE, NWW-andNNW-trending ductile shear zone, three ductile shear zone is constructed of the Gongpoquancopper deposits. The formation of the deposit has the multi-phase, three mineralized orebodyhas different occurrence, the order of these is NEE, NWW and NNE. In mineralizationcharacteristics, the first and second mineralized formation of fine-grained disseminated ores,related to the type of wall rock alteration is phyllic and epidotization, the third phase ofmineralization to form lumps, the vein ore mineralization, and greisenization closely related.The trace element characteristics of ore, sulfur isotopes and the isotopic composition of theinclusions in the quartz gas, liquid composition shows that, the Gongpoquan copper mineralsfrom acid magmatic hydrothermal fluids and magmatic hydrothermal. In summary, thegenetic type of Gongpoquan copper deposit should control for back-arc basin by ductile shearzone storeyed deposit.
