Xilaokou gold deposit in Rushan and Beibo gold deposit in Laixi are of important golddeposits we worked on. Mostly their gold content is less than5×10-6; gold grains in depositsare both medium and fine sized. In accordance with the sample processing standard, theresults of Beibo samples can meet the requirement of standard, but the results of Xilaokousamples cannot. In order to find out the cause of this problem, we collected the latest researchreports and our information about gold deposits. By use of analytical technology such as rockand mineral identification, EPMA, gold particle size analysis, chemical analysis and othermeans to confirm the ore characteristics and to ascertain a variety of factors to effect thesample processing. By compared to the processing mechanisms of different types of gold oresamples and verified through practical application, scientifically formulated the differentsample processing procedures for different types of gold ore samples and solved accuracy andprecision problems of Xilaokou gold samples. On the basis of the above research, we furtherto study the methods of separation and analysis crystal lattice gold, native gold and goldwrapped by quartz in pyrite of the main mineralization stage. Exploratory study on therelationship between the different occurrence states of gold in pyrite and Ore-forming. Itprovides some ways of thinking for metallogenic prediction.
