The OBC dual-sensor exploration is a new technique which began in the late1980s. They combine piezoelectric detectors and high sensitivity magnetoelectricdetectors in the acquisition of seismic signal, Because the both geophones haveopposite response to up and down wave field,so it kan suppression reverberation bycombining the both geophones.,which lay a solid foundation for subsequentprocession, greatly improving the quality of seismic data,In the offshore seismic exploration, the surface of the sea and the seabed are bothstrong reflection interfaces, as a result, multiple waves are generated consequentiallybetween them. Multiple waves in offshore towline seismic exploration can besuppressed by reverberation filters or predictive deconvolution method, however, inthe OBC dual-sensor exploration, a special method is demanded to suppress thereverberation, which is a combination of hydrophone and geophone. On the basis of related research at home and abroad, characteristics ofdual-sensor data is analyzed in this paper, and the formation mechanism of thereverberation in the OBC dual-sensor exploration is studied, which provides thetheory basis of suppressing reverberation and makes sure a good suppression effect. In this paper, reverberation in the dual-sensor data is divided into two steps tosuppress. The reverberation from the receivers is suppressed in the first step andreverberation form the sources is suppressed in the second step. For the sensorreverberation, the reverberation received by geophones and the one received byhydrophones always have the opposite polarity, then the sum of dual-sensor recordsfor a certain proportion can not only suppress the sensor reverberation, but alsosuppress the ghost waves and the peg-leg multiples in the water layer. For the sourcereverberation, using the periodicity of multiple waves in the tau-p domain, thedual-sensor records are transformed to the linear Radon domain, and then predictivedeconvolution is used to attenuate the multiple waves. Eventually a set of method for suppressing the reverberation in the OBC dual-sensor exploration is acquired.Based on the theoretical study of the technology, and the forward modeling ismade according these characteristics of OBC dual-sensor data. The simulated datawas processed with the method in this paper, reverberation was well suppressed andsections with high SNR were achieved. The processing flow for dual-sensor seismicdata was formed. Application of the technology and flow on SLCDD3D real dataachieved satisfactory results which fully proved the research is scientific andpractical.
