Distribution of oil and oil-water layer from Putaohua oil layer which is not largedevelopment in Tai Dong area of Gaotaizi oil field is complicated. In order tocorrectly identify the oil-water layer and provide support for the development of oilfield, it is particularly important to establish the standards of oil and water relations inthis region.This paper based on the study of logging, oil production and test pilot, coringdescription and rock electricity experiment data, the relationship of the reservoirlithology, physical properties, oil resistance and electrical property are studied deeply,interpretation model of reservoir parameters, oil-water layer identification chart,effective thickness of the interpretation standards are reconstructed to meet everyregion of interest. The comprehensive interpretation of logging for single well, finehierarchical intersection chart and curve shape homologous method are employed toidentify oil layer and water layer.The reason why oil water layer interpretation contradiction with the practice, isdetermined. Research shows, the oil and water coexisted in same layer in Putaohua oillayer, they are characteristiced by complicated distribution of oil and water andmultiple reservoir type. The factors such as enriched mud, high saturation ofirreducible water in reservoirs, thin layer and thin interbed of the reservoirs caused thelow resistance. The compacted reservoir, residual oil and containing calcium areresponsible for development of high resistance water layer. In addition, oil reservoir isdestroyed to result in heterogeneous distribution of oil and water and alternativeoccurence of water and oil. All of these factors cause poor interpretation effect for oiland water layer.Formation mechanism of complicated reservoir, key factors and reasonable parameters influencing indentification of reservoir fluid are determined for Putaohuareservoir. Interpretation models of shale content, reservoir permeability, effectiveporosity, oil saturation are suggested and oil layer interpretation chart for five blocksin Putaohua oil layey are reconstructed. The116production wells with high water arere-interpreted; the interpretation accuracy is above of85%. On this foundation,suggestions of unblocking water are put forward to fo28wells, reinterpretation of oiland water layer for23wells from Fang8blocks are finished and perforation for somewell are suggested.
