With the appearance of the vector hydrophone, vector signal processing technology got afast development,and scalar sound field originally known extended to the vector field. Nomatter in signal detection field or noise measuremen,sound vector signal was found that couldgot higher signal-to-noise ratio than the scalar signal. So, what is the influence factors of thevector sound signal in the propagation in the sound field? And how about the changingdiscipline? Especially the performance and the characteristics of the sound field in theshallow water waveguide,and the difference with the scalar pressure signal were both theproblem need to slove, which was better to reflect the advantage of sound vector signal.Obviously, these problems which were further to improve and enrich the research of vectoracoustics, had special significance.The area which from the Chinese coastline stretch for tens of thousands of kilometers tothe exclusive economic zone for hundreds of kilometers, were mostly shallow sea. So, thispaper was researched on the acoustic environment in shallow sea waveguide,combined withray acoustic theory and normal model theory, established the vector sound field model inshallow sea waveguide based on virtual source method and finite difference method, givensound pressure, horizontal and vertical vibration velocity formula of the vector field in theshallow sea.Different horizon, depth, and frequency were calculated in the ideal waveguideenvironment and other environmental factor cases.Such as: rough boundary, velocity change,the different medium, the absorption etc.The transmission characteristics in the acoustic fieldof the sound pressure and horizontal and vertical vibration particles based on ray model andnormal model were discussed. Further more, the propagation characteristics of the soundintensity in the low frequency of normal model was discussed, and the theoretical results wereverified by field experiment.The paper studied the near field acoustic energy transmission characteristics, proclaimedthe relationship of the complex sound intensity between the different components and theinfluence of each component to the acoustic energy transmission. On this basis, the paperexplored the physical significance of sound particle motion curl, analysised the curl ofparticle motion with change of the distance in target radiation vector sound field model of theshallow water environment.
