In recent years with the rapid development of polarization imaging technology and in military and civil application, a target to be measured polarization imaging processing and probe accuracy requirements are also getting higher and higher. In order to solve this problem, based on infrared polarization characteristics of natural light will be significant, polarization imaging into infrared field.This article through to the domestic and foreign many kinds of infrared polarization imaging method and its application to the study of analysis, design based on polarization information detection technology of infrared optical system. The system includes a light source system, mainly to Wollaston prism polarizing system, detection system and data processing system in four parts. Through the use of Wollaston prism to realize static spectral measurement, avoiding mechanical transmission device is introduced.Using optical imaging based on the principle of the optical path, equivalent decomposition and choosing and obtaining one of the beam’s polarization information. The optical system lens selection and tolerance analysis and improvement, so that the optical system meets the requirements of image quality.
