The Sanjiaotan tungsten ore in Chuankou, Hengnan, Hunan Province is located in the triangle area consisted of NNE large fault from Chaling to Chenzhou and NW basement buried fault from Anren to Changde. It is one of the typical tungsten deposits in China.Based on the predecessor’s achievements, detailed field geological surveys and processing of data, based on the geology of ore deposit and ore-forming material source, using theory and a lot of research methods, such as Petrology, Mineral Deposit Geology, Mineralogy and so on. To research the factors of Strata, rocks and structure, analyzing the origin of deposits and establishing metallization mode.The study considers that the Sanjiaotan tungsten ore includes wolframite and scheelite, mineralization stage is divided into three mineralization stages and five mineralization stages. Strata, rocks and structure are important factor for Sanjiaotan tungsten mineralization. To research the geological condition of mineralization and the deposits are mainly exist in the corresponding uplifting parts of rock masses. By the phase analysis, we can believe that wolframite and scheelite are coexistence in the Sanjiaotan tungsten ore. When calcium deficiency, W is transported with complexes. The wolframite is formed under suitable physical and chemical conditions. When the surface water or metamorphic fluid took the calcium which from surrounding rock to the ore-forming fluids (mixed with the magmatic hydrothermal), then the scheelite is formed in the ore bodies.This study is based on field geologic survey and field geologic survey, analyzing the origin of deposits and establishing metallization mode with wolframite and scheelite coexistence.
