Landslide is a very serious geological disaster, it caused great threat for people’s normal production and life, monitor and early warning of geological disasters has become widespread concern. The papers selected key sections of Jinan as the study area, it focus on the landslide area, single forecasting and early warning models, GIS-based landslide hazard monitoring and warning systems’research and development. Preliminary studied how to build a function relatively well monitoring and early warning systems in Jinan area.Landslide monitoring and warning system’s establishment of Jinan City based on GIS platform. According to spatial data information storage, query and processing, GIS technology is used to spatial information management and prediction of landslides. Design and model’s analysis of geological hazard information system database established landslide disaster monitoring and early warning information systems for civilian purposes. It used to the real-time early warning of landslides, made the prevention and control of landslides from passive conversion to active at the same time, and minimize people’s property damage.The main research of papers includes four aspects:(1) Overview of Natural environment, Geological conditions and the Development of Landslides in Jinan City.(2) Based on GIS in landslide hazard zoning method of Jinan City and regional monitoring and early warning model of Jinan City, including:hazard zoning method of Jinan City, geological disasters, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, the rainfall threshold, geological-weather coupled model aspects.(3) The monomer landslide monitoring and early warning studies of Jinan City including:selected Wohushan reservoir’s right abutment monomer landslide of Jinan City as monitoring and early warning object, study the landslide monitoring program design and monitoring data transmission storage method, the prediction results according to select early-warning model’s calculation.(4) GIS-based landslide early warning system development in Jinan, including: total system design, database development, system function’s achievement.
