The Suzhou Wetland Park, located in Suzhou High-tech Zone, is onlyone kilometer away from the Taihu Lake. The total area is4.6squarekilometers, west of Taihu Lake, east of Dongzhu town, south of Guangfutown. Phytoplankton in SuZhou Wetland Park had been sampled from2010to2011, total14times.And from November2011,we sampled thePeriphyton around plants to study the relationship between the plantsand Periphyton.Furthermore,predict the pollution status of the waters.Itprovides the biology basis for the water protection and the futuretourism development.The main results are listed as follows:1. There are116species of phytoplankton in Suzhou WetlandPark,which belong to61genera of8phyla.The abundance ofphytoplankton is408*104ind/L; Bacillariophyta is the mainphytoplankton, following is Chlorophyta and Cyanophyta.Phytoplannkton biomass has obvious change with seasons, more insummer, less in winter.2. There are10dominant species in Suzhou Wetland Park:Merismopedia minima G.Beck, Dionbryon cylindricum Imhof,Cryptomonas ovata Ehr., Melosiara granulate (Her.) Ralfs, Cyclotellameneghiniana Kützing, Synedra ulna (Nitzsch) Ehrenberg, Naviculacrypyocephala Kützing, Chlorella vulgaris Beij, Scenedesmus dimorphus(Turp.) Kützing, Gymnodinium sp.3.0n the issue of phytoplankton biomass, it appears thatBaeillariophyta is the dominant kind. Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta are alsoimportant to the construction of biomass, the rest of the phytoplanktonbiomassisrare.4. Based on the results of all kinds of chemical and physicalindexes, the average water temperature is17.2℃and the averagepH is8.20,which showed the quality took on alkaline,the average transparency is82centimeters.5. Among the8plants, Navicula, Synedra, Nitzschia, Melosira,Cymbella, Fragilaria, Oscillatoria are the most common.6. According to the ecologyical evaluateon criterions,the resultsshowed that the water quality of SuZhou Wetland Park was atmiddle-eutrophic eutrophic level.The water quality of the surroundingwaters was at eutrophic level.
