The study is guided by the high resolution sequence stratigraphy and reservoirquantitative analysis theory, and utilizes the core data, the logging data and the seismic datacomprehensively, which combines the theory of sedimentology. Two main research have beendone in the basis of previous research. First, the strata and sedimentary sand bodycharacteristics were investigated by the macroscopical research on the sedimentary featuresand the comparison of the high resolution sequence stratigraphic division. Second, thegeneration of various sand bodies was predicted by the distribution of sand bodies whichconcluded from causes of single sand body and the sand body tracking comparison. As aresult, the stratigraphic model of sandstone pinchout of Putaohua oil layer in the Shengpingoil field was found, which shows the lower sandstone is instable, and PI6, PI7, PI8, PI9sandstone pinchouts move southward gradually. Putaohua oil layer in the Shengping oil fieldis the shallow lacustrine Fluvial-Dominated Delta, which has shallow sign of sedimentaryfacies in the development of river effect. The shallow lacustrine Fluvial-Dominated Delta ischaracteristics by distributary channel, of which the vertically upper and lower parts weremainly developed delta front subfacies, the central part was developed plain subfacies, theupper part was developed front subfacies.The study extended the application range of the fine reservoir description achievements,and instructed the pure sand strata adjustment measure, which can lead to increasing thereservoir available potential and improving drilling success ratio, and also providing evidencefor encryption and injection-production system adjustment and the blank area reservoirprediction.
