The area3D modeling on the model not only reflects the topography, in large part to strengthen the ability of the human-computer interaction, provides a new approach for the visualization of3D modeling vector terrain.3D modeling, can fast andmore comprehensive analysis to understand the use of data.In the topography of can rapid response information, helpful to improve the management decision-making efficiency, quality and level,period planning management more forward-looking, scientific nature, t imeliness. In scientific research for different terrain analysis, according to the different or the same characteristics of the corresponding contrast research.In this paper, the combination of terrain data, satellite images,aerial photographs and topographic maps to establish the method of3D modeling, Geographic Information System, Chifeng-Chaoyang landscape terrain, terrain factor extraction,the topography of the region’scharacteristics and the type of macro-analysis and found that the region is a typical mountain, this comparative analysis of the project construction and the production process to provide the reference value,the practice of local production, life for thecomplex geographical environment of the region to provide integrated, but of an intuitive way to facilitate the research study in the region of the system has an important significance.This study can be used to establish standards for the Chifeng-Chaoyang topography database system through3D modeling, terrain digital, information technology, to further enhance the reliability and accuracy of basic information for the local land use planning zonesto provide accurate and effective technology. A variety of measurement data by using a variety of scale topographic maps, aerial photographs and measurement data, geomorphology and other relevant disciplines, supported by3D modeling of the Chifeng-Chaoyang, qualitative and quantitative topographic information extracted analysis of the topography in the type of automatic division, provides a new approach.
