As "the king of the jade", Jadeite Jade has played a more and more importantrole of China’s jewelry jade market. During the years of2009,2010and2011, thedomestic market price of jadeite experienced a rapid growth of30%to50%per year,which attracts attentions of the other parts of the world. Jadeite jade has become thethird largest investment hot spot after real estate and stock."Blue flower floating"jadeite jade, especially the transparent and half transparent kinds, has become apopular of high-grade jadeite jade because of its quality and patterns. Previousresearches specializing in “blue flower floating" jadeite jade are very few. To makesure the mineral composition and causes of " blue flower floating " jadeite jade,choose " blue flower floating " jadeite jade as the object of research work, to studyfactors of different tones of "blue flower".First of all, choose "blue flower floating" jadeite jade specimens of differenttones to do EMPA experiment, to determine the mineral composition of "blue flower".Among them,"blue flower" minerals form the brown and blue "flower" in specimensare sodium amphibolites and sodium–calcium amphibolites, including: imerinite,torendrikite and magnophorite etc.;"blue flower" mineral forms the grayish green andbluish green "flower" in specimens is omphacite. Fe and Cr can influence the tones of"blue flower": the existence of Fe makes "blue flower" gray, and Cr makes the tone of"blue flower" more bright.Then, specimens are made to be thin sections and tested under microscopes.Amphiboles forming the "blue flower" present to be prophyroblasts whose contactedges with the matrix minerals are indented, and have jadeite inclusions inside; underhigh pressure and low temperature condition, fluid flow into the cracks betweenjadeite and serpentinite, form amphiboles through metasomatism. Omphacite alsopresents to be prophyroblasts whose contact edges with the matrix minerals areindented, and have jadeite inclusions inside; some samples happen to be bendingdeformation shape and has the deformation lines. Fluid rich in Na-Al-Si and ophioliteset around form omphacite through metasomatism. Later, jadeite as matrix andomphacite experienced dynamic metamorphism, which causes the distortion ofomphacite. The "blue flowers" formed by distorted omphacite are flower-shaped andbeautiful.
