Discussion For The Efficiency Of The Directly Estimation In Small Area Estimation Based On The Domain Level

Small area estimation problem is an important issue in the field of current samplinginvestigation. Because of the sample size of the small domain is small or even zero, thetraditional direct estimation can’t be used to get an accurate small domain estimation; so itis very necessary to improve the estimation accuracy with the help of the indirectestimation of other adjacent and similar small area sample information and the historicalinformation. Based on the introduction of a small domain model and estimation method,This paper is to discuss the relation between the accuracy of the aid information and thesmall area estimation accuracy in the condition of a hierarchical model; The simulationresults show it can obtain better small area estimation when borrowing information reacheshalf of the true information quantity.
