In this paper, starting with some problem of string system with damping and boundary time-delay input, the string system with damping is turned into a undamped through a linear transform. We obtain that the system operator generates a Co-semigroup and the system is a Riesz one, with the procedures of spectral analysis and Riesz bases method of sine typed functions. Finally, the exact controllability problem of the system is discussed.
