Linguistic description of spatial relationship is very important in the computer spatial information research, which is widely used in many research fields such as scenario description, human-computer interaction, robot vision, image retrieval, geographic information system and so on. Direction relationship is one of the most important relations of spatial relationship, which is the basic relationship when we describe and express the spatial information. So the study of construction of models, determination of the direction and linguistic description has important theoretical significance and practical value in this field.Firstly, in this paper we analyze some formal models of spatial direction relationship, and then introduce the details of F histogram (force histogram) formal model. Secondly, we design two methods to determine the direction relationships based on it in the intrinsic reference framework. Finally, we construct two models to generate the linguistic of the objects of picture database base on the determination methods in the intrinsic framework. The two models take the topological relationship into consideration and take advantage of fuzzy rules and nature language generation method based on templates. The experimental results suggest that the methods of this paper are feasible and consistent with human cognition to some extent.
