Pulsar is one kind of neutron stars which have fast rotation and strong magnetic field. Sincebeen found, there has been more and more people pay attention on pulsar. In order to studypulsar, we need to obtain the pulsar radiation pulse first, then do data processing or analysisobserved data in different wavelengths to study pulsar and research for applications in differentfields. Pulsars are mainly observed by radio telescope and X-ray telescope now. Pulsar timing isused for time-scale, pulsar clock or other applications in the radio band, and pulsar navigationwants to be achieved in the X-ray band.PARKES Observatory radio telescope in Australia is one of the world’s largest radiotelescopes, which has many radio observations of pulsars, but it uses different end-systems inobservation at different time. There are data Jumps among observations of different end-systems,which resulting in large residual timing accuracy. In this paper, in order to improve timingaccuracy, we use TEMPO2software to calibrate data Jumps between different end-systems data.In the pulsar navigation applications, how to choice pulsars for navigation is very important.Because pulsar navigation needs X-ray pulsars, the X-ray pulsar flux density and light curve inX-ray band are particularly important. In this paper, using the NASA RXTE detector X-ray dataof the pulsar which is wanted to be used for navigation, the long-term light curve is researched inthe X-ray band. With the structure function method, using RXTE ASM all-sky observational dataon pulsar in X-ray band, long-term light curve is studied and discussed. Pulsar J0437-4715isstudied in this paper, and the result shows that a relative long-term period of620days is foundbased on15-year data. According to RXTE data in the PCA section, we use Heasoft software toextract light curve and spectra, and do profile fitting for pulsar in the X-ray band. It provides anew Profile reference for pulsar research.
