Gis technology has become an important means for mining subsidence research.Application of GIS for quantitative analysis of terrain factors to determine the miningsubsidence effects of terrain features in the loess gully region. This research can provide thebasic information and the technical support for mining subsidence government andenvironmental assessment. This paper regards40301working face of Dafo Temple mine as the research object, usingprobability integral method prediction model to calculation of the change after miningsubsidence. Base on ArcGIS software to extracting several terrain factors in mining subsidencearea. Comprehensively analyses the quantitative relationship between mining subsidence andterrain factors by case. The main contents and results as following:(1) Method for AutoCAD topographic map data conversion for ArcGis format data. Thedata transformation method is defined for dealing with elevation points directly intoprocessing and quickly importing surface features into personal geography database.(2) Based on the existing geological working condition to select the appropriatepredictive parameter, it writes the procedures of surface subsidence and level shift inexploitation region by using MATLAB, the probability integral method. Also, it applies thepredicted data to update the settlement DEM.(3) Choosing the proper topographic factors collects the digital terrain features in thesettlement. By applying the trend analysis approach, it finds out the cell size suitable for thetopographic factors of the settlement. It takes advantage of window analysis and meanchange point analysis to define the applicable analysis window, providing feasible researchmethods for analyzing the digital topographic factors of mining area in loess gully region.(4) Taking SPSS software analysis the relationship of each topographic factor variablesbefore and after the mining subsidence. It points out that there exists relatively stable linearrelationship between average slope, plan curvature, RDLS and average height, as well as average slope variables, profile curvature variables plan curvature variables,CV variables, average height variables and RDLS variables,in favor of establishing quantitative relation ofmining subsidence and specific terrain factors. This study reveals changes in the topographical features of the mining subsidence arearule, means and the results of its research for research on ecological environmental protectionin mining subsidence area to provide a reference.
