Fog is very dangerous to the transport sector, such as airports, highways and shipping which havedifferent degrees of harm. In addition, because of fog, stable atmospheric stratification results inpollutants is not easy to spread, industrial, agricultural production and human health will also havedifferent degrees of damage. The fog of the research will improve people’s living standards and promoteindustrial and agricultural production which has a good sense. Therefore, at this stage of fog formationmechanism research and analysis are very necessary. In this paper, WRFV2mesoscale meteorological model system, and the U.S. Centers forEnvironmental Prediction (NCEP) and National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) jointlylaunched six hours analyzed FNL information,a numerical simulation and diagnostic analysis of fog, which happened on November25,200928th and placed in central and southern Jiangsu, then make fogsensitivity test from the land surface and terrain resolution. This paper research the power factor, thermalfactors, the characteristics of water vapor and the fog factor role. The results showed that stableatmospheric stratification, surface radiation cooling at night, adequate moisture, wind, and the properformation of advection are important conditions for advection fog of radiation, among them, the inversionof surface radiation cooling and the presence of radiation are the formation of radiation fog on thepremise; advection and the presence of stratospheric temperature inversion are the formation of advectionfog on the premise, and the formation of stratospheric temperature inversion also affected by the coldsurface, therefore, the surface radiation fog cooling is the most important factor in the formation. Sincethen, due to north and south wind increasing air, make the atmosphere of the stable stratificationdestruction; continue to uplift the formation of low clouds fog, fog dissipation. By comparison with thelive weather analysis, numerical simulation results obtained is the same as live, in line with expectations.Do sensitivity tests from two angles of the land surface and terrain; discuss which impact on formationand development of fog.
